Molly's 6 yr Birthday!

Wow hard to believe Molly is 6 yrs old.  I remember like yesterday going to the hospital to meet her!  I really am so thankful to be her mother!  She is a fun loving girl.  With lots of words to share everyday. And she is a great big sister to her brother and lil sis.

We had a fun week last week Celebrating her and it was like each day up to her birthday excitement was flowing in this house.  And then the actual birthday came and here is the highlights from that day.

She gets to pick out her favorite breakfast for her birthday.  So pancakes with chocolate chips, scrambled eggs, and bacon we had that morning.  She excitedly opened her presents and it was so fun to see how excited her siblings we also for her.  Wednesdays she has her piano class and so she was soo happy to be there on her birthday.  She brought cookies for her class and she happily got a birthday sticker there. That evening we let her pick some where she would want to go for dinner.  She picked Mexican!  She wanted to get nachos with chorizo and cheese.  It was a fun pick, as they sang to her happy birthday and she was able to wear a sombrero!  Here are a few pics from that day.

Then we had a little birthday party with some of her friends.  Coming up with a theme this year was a long process.  But it was funny listening to her and Micah have TONS of conversations over this.  I even tried to look up ideas on Pinterest and every suggestion got shot down!  But she finally decided on making it a Strawberry Shortcake theme. I love my girly girl!

Here is her friend placing the strawberry in a basket (pin the tail style)

and here is her little sister enjoying putting on the strawberry too!

Mother's Day Tea

Ok so I finally, a week later, have put all the pictures and videos I took from this sweet day on my computer.  Molly's preschool she goes to is once a week for 2 1/2 hrs.  The lady who teaches her goes to our church and is a wonderful godly woman.  And I am soo thankful Molly loves it so much!  Here is a few pics from that fun Mother's Day Tea they had for us last week.

Long time...quick catch up

SO it's been a LONG time since I've been on my computer to blog.  I am sure via fb and other avenues the news has escaped that we have a little Hayes baby on the way.  Hence the sudden disappearance on the blog.  Not that I am in any way consistent but this for sure has been a MONTH!  I am into my 10th week and we got to see the baby last week at my first doctors appointment.  I was not feeling super pregnant just under the weather until last week when I actually got to see the heartbeat.  Now I am feeling excited that God has blessed us with this little one.  This pregnancy has been different from the last two.  I am thankful that I am not throwing up every day just sporadically. I am nauseated all day but also I find myself hungry.  This is very different than the last two.  I never had much of an appetite with the last two it was just so hard to keep foods down.  Thankfully I am able to eat, food is still not really appetizing but I am hungry.
A couple of sweet moments have been seeing how excited Molly is about me having a baby.  She has been very compassionate with me not feeling well.  One day she said at dinner "Mom I have a great idea! Why don't you make a list of things you need to do around the house. And then dad can read them to me since I can't read and we can do the list and you can rest."  She will play sweetly with Micah if I am not feeling well and tell him "let's let Mom rest since she has a baby in her belly"  And today on our way to her preschool she was very considerate not to sing to loud since she knew I had a headache.  We give a friend a ride to school so she made sure to also tell her not to be too loud since "Mommy has a baby in her belly and the baby gives her headaches"  Molly is hoping for a sister.  At first she was hoping for twins so she could have one of each.  But now that the doctor has confirmed there is one (wew) she is praying for a sister :)  But I am sure if Micah could speak he would be hoping for a brother.  So we are looking forward to seeing what God has in store for us.
Last week at Molly's preschool they had a Mother's Day Tea.  Molly has been talking about it for the whole week!  She was soo excited and I was too.  It was really sweet.  The kids sang us songs and showed us some things they learned this year.  Then they served us cake and tea or lemonade.  Molly also made a framed picture for me.  I enjoy these little moments so much.  I will eventually upload some of the videos from this fun day to show you.
Well that is my catching up for today.  I will hopefully upload some pics and videos soon.

Molly's 4th Birthday Party

Just thought I would share a few pictures from Molly's 4th birthday party.  We had a fun time with her little friends.  We had a costume theme, since Molly LOVES to dress up we thought it would be fun!  We had a pinata and an Easter egg hunt, cake and fun play time.  I am so thankful for my sweet Molly moo.  I can't believe she is 4!

Molly is 4!

Molly turned 4 on Monday. We had a fun day celebrating. But this weekend she will have a little party with her friends. So I'll be sure to post some pics of that next week.
Some things Molly loves as she has just turned 4.
-she loves people! Always wants people over for dinner and if we aren't having anyone she is wondering when we will.
- she is fun and loves to have fun. But everything is fun for her at this age. From cooking, cleaning to playing in the park. She is a joyful girl!
-she Loves to Talk! I mean she will talk to anyone anytime. On Monday while we were at McDonalds (her pick of where to celebrate) she saw a girl her age and went to say hi. But the girl didn't respond. So Molly says "are you shy?" that was her only way to figure out how to get the girl to talk. Haha.
- favorite toys right now: loves her bitty baby named "Emily", and all the accessories, also her doctor kit, kitchen food toys and her little people (when Micah doesn't ruin her set up) :)
- she loves being the big sister. Sometimes can be a little bossy :)
-right now if you ask her what her favorite color is she"ll start with pink, purple then pretty much list off every color!
-we do "school" at home and she loves it and wants to do it everyday. She knows her letters and sounds. And numbers up to 10. But as far as actually writing goes. She can draw a great letter H. And umm the rest she is working on :)
-she sings constantly! Sometimes real songs and sometimes just make up songs. I think she has a quota of words she must say a day and this way she can get many out!
-she loves for you to read to her and she especially loves for us to tell her stories from our "head" :).
-she is a great eater! Will try most things. She Loves bell peppers and will eat them like apples. But she has a small appetite and never eats a lot.

I thank God so much for Molly. She truly is a blessing from the Lord. Here are some fun pics I took today after our walk.

Well said...

Just thought I would drop a note and share something my Molly moo said today that made me laugh :)  I was reading a good friends blog today and her taking the time to write out things her daughter said (which you should read because you will laugh!) so she could remember encouraged me to write it here so I can remember this funny thought :)

Molly said, "Mom did you know that we tell computers what to do?"
Me "yes?"
Molly "Just like you tell me what to do!"

I guess she knows whose boss...haha :)

Hayes' News

Hello friends,
How are you all doing today.  Things have been good and very busy around here.  I am planning on taking alot of pictures this week :) we will see and so I can post some on here.  Because it has been very pretty outside and the leaves are all changing.  So I need to capture this beautiful fall before the winter comes snow and all :)
A few fun quotes from my Molly:

Molly - "Mom you know why the leaves are changing color"
Me- "why"  Molly- "Because snow is coming, my friend Casey told me that and she knows everything"

OK now for this one I have to give you the scenario, I was watching a 10 yr old girl (Katie-Beth) and her brother 12 yr old (Knox) and it was time to give the kiddos a bath.  Knox decided to chill in the living room and Katie Beth came in to help me.
Molly says, "Mom where is Knox?" I say "He is just waiting in the living room"  Molly says, "Oh he probably doesn't want to see my belly button."  I say.."Oh yes you are probably right :)"

Things are going in a nice routine lately.  Kiddos are napping at the same time :) Molly has her Joy Kids preschool every Wed morning and LOVES it so much.  Everyday she is like "is it time for Joy Kids!", I explain the Week and tell her it is on Wed. Now I am thinking I need to make her a calender so she can see when Wed is.  Wed and Sunday's are her highlights.  She loves Joy Kids and she loves church.  She has been learning the Catechism and we are now on question 21 "Who is the redeemer of God's chosen ones?"  and the answer is "The only redeemer of God's chosen is the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, Who became man. He was and continues to be God and man in two distinct natures and one person forever."  It's fun for her to learn these, she looks forward to doing the questions as she says.  We usually talk about and review them after dinner.  This particular question has been fun to talk about.  I will have to video her sometime :)  I have been trying to get a little more regular about teaching her things, my goal is 4X's a week.  She can recognize all her letters, so now we are working on the sound for each letter.  I was thinking maybe she can learn to write them.  She can write the letter H, but that is the extent of her letter writing skills.  So I am slowly trying to figure out how to teach her that.  And in numbers she can recognize 1 - 10 but sometimes mixes her 6's and 9's.  So we are learning also 11 - 20.

Micah is cruisin along furniture and stuff these days.  And he is into pointing and grunting when he sees something he wants.  So we are trying to teach him to say words.  He says Ball very clearly now, and that IS his favorite toy.  Along with Molly's broom, but we have decided to Micah it is no pink broom but his valient sword! haha :)  He is a giggly guy, he laughs at everything.  I have been trying to exercise more and one of the videos I am doing has me do jumping jacks and boy does he think I look hilarious when I do that!  He busts out laughing at me, so cute!

Miss all our friends!  Hope everyone is doing well.  And hope to hear from you soon! Have a wonderful Columbus Day :)

Molly Kristin is 3!!

This year Molly's birthday landed right on a Sat. so that was easy day for a party!  We had family and friends come over to celebrate her birthday with us.  We had lunch together, ate birthday cake, watched Molly open her presents and hit some pinatas!  Oh and let's not forget we also had balloon animals!  Bet you didn't know my husbands secret talent of making balloon animals :) These were a big hit especially the balloon swords for the little boys!  My mom used to make pinata's for my birthday parties. So she coached me over the phone on making my first pinata and she also helped me out and made 2 more for the party!  So we had 3 pinata's to enjoy hitting to pieces!  Molly wasn't quite sure about hitting the pinata, so she decided she would just "poke" it, she bragged to me later how she poked it.  But she had no problem cheering her friends on from the sideline to give them a good hit.  Thanks to everyone who was able to come it was a special and fun day for Molly she loved it.  I cannot believe that she is 3!!
